This is the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere and depending on where you are, you may have up to 20 hours of sunlight. Here at the Summit Surprise home office in the Teton’s we’ll enjoy over 15 hours of sunshine!

Big 70 Year Strawberry Moon Bonus

Here’s the BIG bonus. Every 70 years there is something called a Strawberry Moon that coincides with the Summer Solstice. It is a full moon named by early Native American tribes. It is a full moon like any other, but marks the beginning of the strawberry season.

So we encourage you to get some rays, get some strawberries and get out to see the full moon rise. Look for it right after sunset, around 9 pm!

While you’re gazing in amazement, consider the multitude of others you’re connected to in the Summit Surprise nation who are all doing the same!
