The 1st Step To Restore Anything

The 1st Step To Restore Anything

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. ~Robert Collier

Restore. When you think of restoration, is it for the forest, a late model car, a piece of furniture, a relationship or maybe your passion? Whatever needs an overhaul in your life, autumn is the perfect season for restoration.

After your busy summer and squeezing in all the last minute trips before it’s back to school or back to work – now’s the time to restore some needed routine to your life.

Routine is the 1st Step to Restore

Let’s take restoring a healthy work habit so you are not only more productive, but also more balanced and fulfilled. Where do you start?

Inspiration

Most change in life comes when we are inspired. Mountains inspire us to expand our horizons. We see more possibilities and dream bigger dreams. But soon enough we realize we have to come down from the inspiring summit and return to the valley… to the places where we dwell and work.

To turn inspiration into change, begin to set up your routine of daily tasks.

Education

Now with an inspired, clear goal of being more productive (or whatever) it’s time to educate yourself in how you are going to accomplish this. What system can you get excited about now that will carry through for ninety days?

Here’s a great infographic courtesy of: Hobby to HOT! It may not be the system for you, but it’s a great example of a system. Use it or design your own with the same principles.

Application

Once committed to a system you have found (or created) that will enable you to reach your goal, it’s time to get started. Do the small tasks today, rinse, repeat the next day, rinse, repeat. Once your routine kicks in, so will your passion, your energy, and… you will get more stuff done in less time.

Give it ninety days and you’ll be addicted to getting more done in less time. You won’t be able to go a day without!
